ECO-House PROJECT

Project Criteria:

 

• Your design must have a square footage between 1,500 and 2,500 square feet. 

• The design may be multi-level, but each story cannot be taller than 10 cm.

• Your design must address at least four "green" aspects - heating and cooling, water use, electricity use and sustainable construction. Each of your choices must be readily visible in your model, and the science behind your choices must be explained in your green write-up.

• Your design must have at least 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Choose one of the available plots. All lots have an area of 3, square feet. Pay close attention to the shape of the lot as well as any features that could impede your building. You will have to work around them. 

 

The Project

What you will turn in: 

 

Each team will need to submit: 

• Floor plan (to scale).

• Green Write-up, and sales pitch

• Prototype materials

• 3D Model with furnishings
