The Challenge

You have applied for the position of Think-Tank Junior Executive of the Product Development Team at  AdVENTURE Engineering Co. This company is a recognized as an industry leader for their extraordinary innovations.

Now AdVENTURE Engineering Co. knows that innovation comes from the careful study of ideas that have been successful in the past. In order to consider hiring you, they  have asked you to submit a Project Brief comprised of the following:

Project Brief

Present: A detailed overview of one technology you currently use (and will innovate). This includes the scientific principles involved in its functioning. It also needs to explain one limitation or problem of this current technology that you and your team will solve.

Past: A detailed history of the technology. They do not want a history since the beginning of time, but they do want to be able to track how it came to be, so that previous mistakes and limitations can be identified.

Future: Complete, detailed explanation of the new technology you are proposing.  Since this is where they will potentially invest, you must include the scientific principles involved in developing the technology. This means you must know what it looks like (detailed sketch, prototype or working model) and how it works. If applicable, you also must have a plan to test the new technology.

Liability: To show the AdVENTURE Engineering Co. that you bring environmental, social and fiscal responsabilities to the table, your application must also include the possible consequences (positive and negative) of your technology or innovation.

Product Website: The AdVENTURE Engineering Co. does not want to have to wait to launch your innovation to the public.  They want to invest in people that have thought out all aspects of their products. Create a 5 tab website that promotes your future technology by describing its attributes, liabilities and of course includes the images of your product. You will use this website as the backdrop for your job interview.
