As a Researcher, you must find out about as many different ways of generating (making) electricity as you can. As you visit the suggested sites, take notes in your notebook. You will use the information you gather to create a product that persuades us to choose one source of electricity over another.

Your research product (written in your blog) must provide in depth answers to the following green questions:

1. What is used to make electricity? (I'm looking for the words generator and sources of natural energy)

Interactive energy sources

2. Which is the most common source of electricity in the US today?

Different sources of electricity

3. Are some sources better to use than others? (cheaper, safer, environmentaly friendly, etc. Click on each picture to get to thecorect page. As you read , keep in mind you are talking about sources of natural energy used to make electricity; you may wish to prepare a pro-con list for each source, and add that to your research product.)

4. If you were in charge, would you stop the production of electricity from certain sources? Why? (You may choose to start this answer something like "If I were in charge, I would stop the production of electricity from ______, because ____________________________________. I believe that __________ is important, so generating electricity from _______ is not our best option.)

5. Would you promote (encourage) the use of particular sources? Why?
(You may choose to start this answer something like "On the other hand, I would promote generating electricity from ______ because _______________________________________________________. Some of the other advantages are ________________________________. In my opinion, electricity from ______ is the best option for ourselves and the environment.)

There is no right or wrong answer to questions four and five. Use what you have learned to defend your thinking.
