The Competitions

 

We will work together to decide which national competitions you will participate in. The expectation is that you participate in at least two. Before we make a decision it is important that you read through the requirements for each as well as understand the process for competing (due dates, requirements, individual/teams, etc.)

 

Exploravision: http://www.exploravision.org/

The ExploraVision competition for K-12 students engages the next generation in real world problem solving with a strong emphasis on STEM. ExploraVision challenges students envision and communicate new technology 20 years in the future through collaborative brainstorming and research of current science and technology

Deadline for entries: February 1, 2016

 

ECyber mission: https://www.ecybermission.com -  Teams of 3-4 students choose a Mission Challenge and complete a Mission Folder. Registration is now open; Registration ends December 16, 2015

 

DuPont challenge: http://thechallenge.dupont.com/essay/index.php  Registration opens in November and runs through February. Entries are individual 700 to 1,000-word essays on specific topics.


Young sientist challenge: http://www.youngscientistchallenge.com/  - Individual students, grades 5-8, are invited to create a 1-2 minute video describing a new, innovative solution that could solve an everyday problem. Registration window - January-April
