While at AdVENTURE/Herman, I expect you to be RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE.
In the Science class,
RESPECTFUL means:
-
Listening to and following the teacher's directions quickly and without complaint.
-
Wait your turn to speak, and avoiding side/off topic conversations during a lesson.
-
Handling all materials with care, and for their intended purposes ONLY (Waste not, want not).
RESPONSIBLE means:
-
Being in your seat when the bell rings and staying on task.
-
Turning in your work ON TIME.
-
Coming to class prepared to learn (all your materials are with you, your pencil is sharp, etc.)
-
Handling the computers according to the acceptable use policy and reporting any and all misuse or damage immediately (remember that if you don't, YOU are responsible and will face the consequences of your actions/inactions).
SAFE means:
-
Keeping aisles clear of objects and following the "six on the floor" rule. (This means both your feet AND all four legs of your chair/stool)
-
Keeping your table clean.
-
No food, drinks, gum, or edible items.
-
Keeping hands and feet to yourself at all times.
-
Abiding by the acceptable use policy for computer use, both inside and outside of the classroom.
If a behavior expectation is not followed, the process will be as follows:
1st Offense
Warning &
redirection.
Loss of privilege
2nd Offense

3rd Offense

Refer to the Handbook which explains the consequences for major behavior issues.
