We have been in meetings all week, and we think we have come up with a solution. In our meetings we discussed the success we've had using the panda bear as a flagship species, so we have decided to open the first ever Flagship Species Competition.

In order to participate,

  • Choose a biome (no less than 2 and no more than 4 participants can share the same biome)

  • Choose one plant and one animal that thrive in that biome (the choices of organisms within a biome cannot be repeated, so choose quickly, but wisely)

  • Research to discover how the two chosen organisms have adapted to survive in their given biome.

    • Animals: Recognize and be able to explain at least 5 adaptationsat (at least 2 physical adaptations and 2 behavioral adaptations).

    • Plants: Recognize and be able to explain at least 3 structural adaptations.

  • Keep track of your sources.
