“Science is not about making predictions or performing experiments. Science is about explaining.” ― Bill Gaede

Pose Questions
A Scientific inquiry often begins with a question or problem that arises from an observation.
Scientific questions can be solved through experimentation.
Example:
John watches his grandmother bake bread. He ask his grandmother what makes the bread rise.
She explains that yeast releases a gas as it feeds on sugar.
Which of the following would be a scientific question?
-
Will the amount of sugar in the recipe affect the size of the loaf?
or
-
Which loaf of bread tastes better?
