Title: Include the name of the body system (2XP)

BASICS:

Body System Picture: Have a picture of the whole body system (the whole skeleton, for example) or pictures of its parts (pictures of individual bones). (1XP)

Body System function: Write a statement of the body system’s job(s). (5 XP)

Organs: Include  the names and function of each of the major organs of the body system (5 XP)

Interactions with other systems:

Explain how this system works with other systems in the body. (5 XP)

ANALOGY:

Analogy Picture: Include a picture of some person, place, or thing that does the same job as the body system OR one organ in the system. (1 XP)

Analogy Explanation: Explain why you think the in your analogy illustration is like the body system or organ you are writing about.  (10 XP).

STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION:

Choose one organ in the system. In at least one paragraph, explain how it's stucture (shape, size, placement, etc.) affects its function (or viceversa).  In other words how is it that the "way it looks" allows it to do its job. (20 XP) Note: You might be tempted to Google something like "Structure Function relationship skeletal system". STOP, you will get a thousand hits that will lead you through a rabbit hole of information meant for advanced anatomy and physiology students. Instead, take a minute to think for yourself. Knowing the function of the organ, why do you think it is shaped or formed that way?

Sources: Keep track of authors, titles, volumes, pages, dates, and/or complete web site addresses, since you need all this information to cite your source. (1 XP)

The total XP for each system is 50. This is the number that will go on the gradebook. The minimum needed in each post to "open" the team project is 35.
